Want to know what motivated us to start this site? A whole lot of reasons, to be honest, but probably the most pertinent – we wanted a place where we could come for some sensible, honest information about business, finance and everything in between, without being “sold to”.  Seems like everywhere you go online these days, someone is trying to sell you a membership, a product or a lifestyle.  Frustrating is one way to put it!

So we started the Hancock Legacy.

Now you are probably wondering why such an odd name.  Well it’s actually pretty easy to explain.  Our founder’s surname is Hancock.  And they want to leave a Legacy.  Thus, a business blog is begun!  Yeah yeah, probably not the most “riveting” of stories, but hey, it also made sense from a “lets button down and be sensible” kind of way as well (anything with the word “legacy” in it just implies status).

Now we try and present some useful information in respects to doing business, whether you – our lovely reader, run a lemonaid stand on the corner, or a Fortune 500 conglomerate with offices in exotic places like Sudan and Tallin.

We also accept guest articles, so if you fancy yourself a writer, and have a special knowledge in the areas of business and entrepreneurship, we’d love to hear from you.
